In the a society where everyone has access to a cell phone that can access the internet, because of this it is important that websites are responsive so they can be used on a cell phone. Comparing some of the most famous art museums in the world, which would allow you to easily view the art you want?
The Museum of Modern Art.
When you open up The Museum of Modern Arts website it loads quickly and the website interface is easy to use. The first thing people look for in a website is what the hours of operation are. MoMa is also including special events right on the homepage
Right underneath the website gives you examples of some art work they have in their collection. When a user clicks the Exhibitions/events, a drop down menu comes up with options Events, Exhibitions, Film Series, Performance programs, and Exhibition history. These options will bring you to the page you want fast and easy!
The black typeface on the white background of the website make it easy to see and find where you need to go. The layout is simple and clean making it easy to move around and see everything that is important.
Le Louvre.
Right when you go to Le Louvre website on your phone it takes a few seconds to load.
When it does it pulls up the full website and not a mobile friendly version. This makes it hard for you to navigate the website on the small screen. Using your two fingers to zoom in and out makes it difficult to find where you need to go. The website is black with white type face which makes it difficult to read when the letters are small.
If you don’t understand French then you may have a hard time reading whats on the page, after you zoom in of course.
